The Natural Resource Canada Office of Energy Efficiency(OEE) offers grants for green initiatives including energy efficient lightin retrofits. The scope of the funding is scalable based on the energy saving opportunities.
In addition to the grants available through the OEE, selected provincial, territorial and municipal entities also offer grants and incentives to help Canadians invest in energy and pollution-saving upgrades.

The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) was created in 2003 to further the expansion of green building in Canada. The CaGBC is dedicated to promoting the LEED rating system www.cagbc.org
The LEED® Canada NC rating system applies to new construction and major renovations of commercial and institutional buildings, i.e., buildings regulated by Part 3 of the National Building Code. It also applies to retail, mid- and high-rise multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs), public assembly buildings, manufacturing plants, and other types of buildings.
